Through its many brands, Discovery Limited operates in long and short-term insurance, asset management, savings, investment, and employee benefits.
It is headquartered in Sandton and has subsidiaries in South Africa, the United Kingdom, the United States, China, Singapore, and Australia.
Adrian Gore started Discovery Limited in 1992. RMB Holdings (RMBH) bought a share in the company in the same year by forming Discovery Limited as a subsidiary of Momentum Group (now part of MMI Holdings Limited).
After the merging of the financial services activities of Anglo American Corporation of South Africa Limited (now Anglo American plc) and RMBH in 1998 to accomplish the goal of a single financial services grouping, the Momentum Group became part of First Rand.
RMBH, Remgro, and FirstRand split out their insurance assets to Rand Merchant Insurance Holdings on March 7, 2011. RMBH’s full ownership in Discovery Limited was transferred to RMI Holdings as a result of this restructuring.
Discovery Limited announced its plan to establish a retail banking subsidiary in September 2015, with an initial investment of $150 million.
Discovery Limited established Discovery Bank, the world’s first behavioural bank, in March 2019.

On the other hand, to qualify as a Virtual Sales Consultant, it is acceptable if you only have a Matric certificate. However, you are required to have at least one year of sales experience and product knowledge of each of the Discovery Limited business models. NQF Level 5 and RE5 are qualifications you must master.
