Salary:

• R215,736.00 p.a. – R241,152.00 p.a.
• Total package inclusive of benefits R356,941.00 (Level 09 of a Grade 8 authority)

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

• Grade 12 qualification
• National Diploma in Finance (added advantage)
• Valid Driver’s License
• Proficiency in Computer Literacy (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills
• Skills and competencies associated with the vocation, including adaptability, communication, assertiveness, conflict and stress management, problem-solving, office management/diary management, strong administrative skills, and attention to detail
• 1-2 years of relevant experience specific to the vocation

Duties:

As a Clerk in the Assets department, your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining assets registers through barcoding of all new assets
• Capturing co-ordinates onto the asset register
• Capturing asset transfer forms received
• Capturing additions
• Scanning invoice documents and submitting infrastructure items to the service provider for unbundling
• Understanding vote numbers to ensure costs are allocated to the correct capex votes
• Conducting asset verification on a monthly basis per category to identify discrepancies
• Verifying discrepancies identified by other departments
• Handling all administrative tasks related to assets
• Upkeeping of the asset storeroom, including the preparation of assets for auction, reviewing new transfers from custodians and ensuring the store is neat and tidy
• Safeguarding of assets in the store
• Performing any other related Ad Hoc tasks and duties as requested or required by management (supervisor) from time to time
