Eligibility

Minimum Education and Training:

• Matric
• Qualified as an Enrolled Nurse
• Valid Driver’s License and the ability to drive

Minimum Work Experience:

• At least 2 years of research experience

Professional Body Registration:

• Registered with the South African Nursing Council

Requirements

In your role as an Enrolled Nurse, your key performance areas will include:

• Executing study-related duties as specified by the protocol
• Participant recruitment and liaising with DoH Stakeholders
• Recognizing and assessing respiratory illness in participants
• Administration of study treatment (DOT) for participants
• Compiling study progress reports
• Establishing working relationships with clinic staff
• Ensuring informed consent from all participants and caregivers
• Managing clinical aspects of subjects and communicating effectively with coordinators and investigators
• Accurate filing and management of results and study documents

Desirable Additional Education, Work Experience, and Personal Abilities:

• GCP certification
• Ability to lead work independently and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Empathy towards people living with HIV/AIDS
• Phlebotomy and computer literacy
• Ability and willingness to learn
• Proficiency in local languages
• Adherence to research and GCP practices
