Eligibility
Minimum Education and Training:
- Matric
- Qualified as an Enrolled Nurse
- Valid Driver’s License and the ability to drive
Minimum Work Experience:
- At least 2 years of research experience
Professional Body Registration:
- Registered with the South African Nursing Council
Requirements
In your role as an Enrolled Nurse, your key performance areas will include:
- Executing study-related duties as specified by the protocol
- Participant recruitment and liaising with DoH Stakeholders
- Recognizing and assessing respiratory illness in participants
- Administration of study treatment (DOT) for participants
- Compiling study progress reports
- Establishing working relationships with clinic staff
- Ensuring informed consent from all participants and caregivers
- Managing clinical aspects of subjects and communicating effectively with coordinators and investigators
- Accurate filing and management of results and study documents
Desirable Additional Education, Work Experience, and Personal Abilities:
- GCP certification
- Ability to lead work independently and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Empathy towards people living with HIV/AIDS
- Phlebotomy and computer literacy
- Ability and willingness to learn
- Proficiency in local languages
- Adherence to research and GCP practices
