First, you have to claim your myUnisa account. Go to the myUnisa website at https://my.unisa.ac.za/ and click on the button “Claim UNISA Login.” Next, carefully follow the steps instructed.
Most importantly, you must first activate your myUnisa account before you can use your myLife email. These steps are irreversible.
Also, note that it may take up to 24 hours for your myLife email account to be created. Once your account is ready, click on the myLife email button on the myUnisa homepage. Next, sign in with your myUnisa email address and password.
2. Unable to Access myLife Email Account
Several students have been known to complain of not being able to access their UNISA myLife email accounts recently. They mentioned that the problem only appeared recently, and that confused them. How did this happen?
Apparently, due to Microsoft’s latest update, UNISA students can no longer directly access their myLife UNISA email account when logged in to myUnisa. Luckily, this issue is easy to solve, and the university has officially announced how to tackle it step-by-step.
The following is a new procedure for accessing your myLife email account. Follow these steps to access your email account.

3. The Cliche but Frustrating myLife UNISA Email Trouble: Forgot Password
It is possible that you forget your password. There are many reasons to explain why. In fact, more than half of the country’s population says they have to execute at least five password resets every month on average.
So, what to do when you forget your email password?
As it turns out, it is pretty easy to reset your myLife UNISA email password. First, go to http://mylife.unisa.ac.za/. Next, select “Can’t access your account” on the login screen for myLife. Third, click on “I forgot my password.”

4. Forgot myLife Email Address
This issue goes hand by hand with the previous one. It is not uncommon that UNISA students forget their myLife email addresses. This can snowball into a serious problem since all UNISA services are connected to myUnisa which can only be accessed using myLife email.
But did you know that your myLife email address actually consists of your student number? Therefore, more often than not, you may forget your student number rather than the address itself.
To solve this problem, you need to fill out a form to find your student number, which in turn helps you remember your myLife UNISA email address. Find your student number by visiting this link and filling in the form with your personal details, such as your full name and ID number or passport.
Upon clicking “Submit,” the system will explore the database to find your student number.
